Normalising hearing care for the over 50s

Since Specsavers Audiology launched in Australia in 2017, we have screened more than 1.9 million customers for hearing loss.  

In our stores, every customer over the age of 50 has a hearing screener as part of the pre-testing before their optometry appointment. Our audiology professionals then discuss the preliminary results with the customer and guides them on the appropriate next steps.  

By screening all customers over the age of 50 – even those who do not come instore specifically seeking audiology services, Specsavers Audiology hopes to transform hearing awareness long before potential issues arise.
