With over 37 years’ experience, our Specsavers family have been prioritising customer care and putting the needs of our customers above all else. Since 1984, when co-founders Doug and Dame Mary Perkins opened the first Specsavers stores in the UK, it has been the commitment to working in partnership that has delivered success to thousands of Specsavers partners across 10 countries.

Thirty-seven years on, the passion for partnership burns as brightly as ever across our audiology and optical settings. We believe at our core that our goals are best achieved by working together – as partners in a joint venture. 

Many people think Specsavers is just an optometry business. But we know that eyes and ears go together. In fact, audiology has been a part of Specsavers since 2004, long before we entered the Australian and New Zealand optometry markets in 2008. 

In 2017, with over 300 optometry stores across Australia, almost $1billion in annual sales, and more than six million Australians as customers, we decided that the timing was right to launch Specsavers Audiology.

Those four years have seen us operating at a record pace and #makingwaves – and we’re proud to say we’ve reached an extraordinary milestone of 200 stores now providing audiology care in Australia. 

In 2020, we extended our reach across the Tasman to New Zealand, with 25 stores now providing audiology care and huge plans for the future. 

And we’re far from done yet! As Australia’s fastest growing audiology provider, we’re committed to opening audiology in every Australian optometry store. Affordable hearing care for all Australians is our priority and we’d like you to be part of our story.
